John B. Wood
As Telos CEO and chairman of the board, John Wood leads the company’s mission to protect the people, organizations and information of the world’s most security-conscious enterprises. During his tenure at Telos, John has diversified the company’s solution portfolio and expanded its footprint to include commercial enterprises, the military, civilian and intelligence agencies, and allied nations around the world.
Over the course of his career, John has built a reputation for advancing collaboration between the private and public sectors to address critical cybersecurity issues. He has testified at congressional committee hearings on cybersecurity matters and has received numerous honors, including being recognized as a four-time Washingtonian magazine “Tech Titan,” and receiving the Committee for Economic Development’s “Leadership in the Nation’s Interest Award.”
A longtime advocate for civic entrepreneurship and economic development in the greater Washington, D.C. region, John was the founding chairman of the Loudoun County, Va., CEO Cabinet, and served for five years as chairman of Loudoun County’s Economic Development Commission. He currently serves on the boards and advisory councils of several organizations, including the Wolf Trap Foundation for the Performing Arts, and is on the board of the Alliance for Digital Innovation, the Inova Health Foundation Board of Trustees, and the Loudoun Education Foundation.
Since 2012, John has served as the chairman of the board of directors for the Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors (TAPS), a national nonprofit organization that provides care and support for the families of America’s fallen military heroes. He also served for ten years on the board of Project Rebirth, which supports veterans and first responders navigating traumatic loss.
John earned degrees in finance and computer science from Georgetown University.
