The Military and Veteran Caregiver Peer Support Network (MVCN) offers peer-based support and services to connect caregivers with others who are giving care to members of the military or veterans who are living with wounds, illness or injury. The Network a community of practice of hundreds of partner organizations modeled after the nationally recognized, evidence-based programs of the Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors (TAPS) which has provided compassionate peer-based support for over 20 years to more than 50,000 loved ones of those who have died during their service in the Armed Forces.
The MVCN’s mission is to provide our nation’s pre- and post-9/11 era military and veteran caregivers with peer support and partners to reduce their isolation and increase their sense of connectedness, engagement, hopefulness, wellness and their knowledge and skills.
The MVCN helps caregivers at all stages of their caring through three consistent highest-quality peer support programs and relevant up-to-date educational information and resources:
