TAPS provides ongoing emotional help, hope, and healing to all who are grieving the death of a loved one in military service to America.

TAPS is able to provide programs and services to survivors thanks to the generosity of corporations and individuals. TAPS receives absolutely no government funding, but through the Departments of Defense and Veterans Affairs, all families faced with a death of a loved one serving in the Armed Forces receive information about TAPS and its military survivor programs.

The Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors (TAPS) is a not-for-profit organization and is not part of, or endorsed by, the Department of Defense.

Monthly gifts are a convenient and meaningful way to provide ongoing support for the survivors. A monthly recurring donation makes the following impact in one year:

  • $20 month- sends a child to TAPS National Good Grief Camp for Military Survivors. 500 children attend these camps.
  • $50 monthly - supports one resource kit a month that is sent to a newly bereaved survivor. TAPS sent over 1500 resource kits last year.
