Zaneta M. Gileno currently serves as the Director of Community Based Care. In this capacity, Zaneta offers survivor support, oversees and ensures that the TAPS community of survivors is connected to grief counseling and support groups. She is also TAPS liaison for our distinguished Board of Advisors, manages our online Professional Education program, manages our current network of “TAPS Care Groups,” and is the liaison to the National Military Bereavement Study in cooperation with the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences.
Zaneta graduated with her Masters in Science in Clinical Social Work from Columbia University in the City of New York. Her undergraduate studies were achieved at California State University in San Bernardino California. Her focus of study has been Children, Youth and Family Services with experience in grief and traumatic loss, couples and family therapy and child focused therapy.
Zaneta comes from a military family and is honored to bring her education, background and passion to serve the families of the fallen at TAPS.
