Statement: TAPS Thanks President Trump for Recognizing the Sacrifices of Military Families During Address

ARLINGTON, Va. -Following last night's address to a joint session of Congress, the Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors (TAPS) thanks President Donald Trump for recognizing the sacrifice of Navy SCPO Ryan Owens and honoring his surviving Gold Star family.

"We appreciate President Trump and General Mattis for recognizing the sacrifices that our military families make every day to keep our nation free," said Bonnie Carroll, TAPS President and Founder. "Our hearts go out to his family, and TAPS is here to support his wife, children, parent, grandparent, and other family, friends and battle buddies both now and into the future."
