DESCRIPTION
The primary responsibility of the Impact and Data Analyst is to ensure the effective evaluation of outputs related to TAPS survivor programs and services. The Impact and Data Analyst will support the TAPS impact and data team’s strategic commitment to measuring the impact of its initiatives to better strategize future efforts and accurately represent these impacts through dashboards, data analysis, reports, and visualizations. Specifically, the Impact and Data Analyst will maintain data collection tools, convert quantitative data into reports and visualizations, and work with fellow team members in TAPS to reflect the results in proposals and collateral materials.
The Impact and Data Analyst position is full-time and may be performed remotely with attendance at organizational meetings via video conference.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain and improve data collection, reporting, and analysis methodology to ensure accuracy, consistency, and integrity
- Compile, analyze, and interpret data to identify trends, patterns, and insights
- Generate detailed reports, dashboards, and visualizations to communicate findings
- Support recurring and ongoing reporting initiatives across TAPS
- Track outputs and outcome benchmarks to assess effectiveness and strategic alignment
- Build relationships with other departments to maintain an understanding of multi-department data processes
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to help define their KPIs and metrics that drive impact
- Provide guidance on data-related tools, best practices, and methodologies to teams
- Maintain monthly reporting to highlight the efforts of all teams across TAPS
- Present analytical findings and insights to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Develop and maintain familiarity with impact and data management best practices
- Assist the team in meeting deadlines and supporting TAPS organizational initiatives
- Provide metrics Monthly | Quarterly | Annually on TAPS programs and services
QUALIFICATIONS and CHARACTERISTICS
- Undergraduate Degree, Certifications, or Work Experience in data science, data analytics, or related field
- Proven proficiency in Excel, Google Workspace, and PowerPoint is required.
- Ability to generate pivot tables, write formulas, complete fundamental statistical analysis, and data cleaning
- Knowledge of Python, SQL, and Tableau is a plus, but not required
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and translate insights into actionable recommendations
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey complex data insights to diverse audiences
- Enthusiastic, professional attitude with sensitivity to issues of military loss, grief, and bereavement
- Self-motivated with demonstrated ability to balance multiple tasks through exceptional organizational skills and effective time management
- Ability to work successfully both independently and in a collaborative team setting
