Memorial Day Events

This Memorial Day weekend, as we remember the ultimate sacrifice of our nation’s service members, there are many opportunities around the country to honor their memory.

Across the Country

National Cemetery Ceremonies
The National Cemetery Administration will host Memorial Day ceremonies at VA national cemeteries across the country, with the help of local communities. Most states have a Veterans Affairs national cemetery. View a list of VA national cemeteries with details of their Memorial Day ceremonies.

#FlowersOnEveryGrave
RallyPoint and Memorial Day Flowers Foundation have teamed up to make sure every fallen service member is remembered by placing a flower on every grave. You can volunteer where you live or at Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, Virginia. Learn more at remember.rallypoint.com/flowers.

Hawaii
Lantern Floating Hawaii, which will be held on Memorial Day, will bring together thousands of people on Oahu’s south shore. The ceremony is a personal and collective remembrance and reflection of gratitude for all those who gave their lives for our nation. The ceremony will be live streamed online at 6 p.m. HT that day. Get more information about the event.
