TAPS teens ages 12 to 18 are invited to attend the Teen Adventure at Outward Bound.

Build resiliency, friendships and community. TAPS teens are invited to join us at the TAPS Teen Adventure at Outward Bound, where teens will challenge themselves on a ropes course.

At this one-day event, for teens 12 to 18 years old, Outward Bound will lead TAPS teens through a ropes course, team-building activities and reflective discussions to create a powerful day of learning. Each teen will walk away from this experience with improved communication skills, strengthened sense of confidence and real-world skills for problem-solving and conflict resolution. 

The TAPS Teen Adventure at Outward Bound will take place at Outward Bound's campus in Baltimore's Leakin Park. As one of the country's largest urban parks, it provides nearly unlimited space for discovery.

SCHEDULE

8:15 a.m. Arrive in Baltimore (TAPS will designate a meeting location. We will then bus the attendees to the Outward Bound campus.)

8:30 a.m. Bus departs to Outward Bound campus

9 a.m. High ropes challenge course and activities start

2:30 p.m. Discuss lessons from the day

3 p.m. Bus departs Outward Bound campus

3:30 p.m. Teen pick-up at meeting location

Event FEES

Thanks to the generosity of our sponsors, TAPS is able to provide this event to surviving teens at no cost. Lunch and T-shirts for all attendees will be provided. You will need to cover the cost of travel to and from the TAPS meeting location in Baltimore.

APPLICATION PROCESS 

The deadline to apply is Sept. 6. Attendees will be selected through an application process. Please submit an application for each teen interested in attending. Applicants will be notified of selection or waitlist status. Applicants not initially selected to attend will be placed on a waitlist and notified as space becomes available.
