Webinar: Why Aren't You Crying? Understanding Grieving Styles
Presented by the TAPS Institute for Hope and Healing®, this program with Kenneth J. Doka, Ph.D., M.Div. and Terry L. Martin, PhD, explores the different patterns of grief, emphasizing that grief reactions are highly individual and varied and that each style has its own distinct advantages and disadvantages. Based on their recent book, Grieving Beyond Gender: Understanding the Ways Men and Women Mourn, Dr. Doka and Dr. Martin challenge professionals to explore the many ways that individuals cope with loss and offer specific strategies that are effective with different patterns. The program will also help bereaved individuals understand their own reactions as well as those of their loved ones, which may be different. Continuing education credits are available for professionals through the TAPS Institute.
