TAPS Young Adults Paralympic Experience
TAPS Young Adults Experiences promote care, peer connection and personal well-being in locations across the country for military survivors ages 18 to 30. These one-of-a-kind experiences provide a safe space to be themselves, have fun, and focus on well-being and personal development.
OVERVIEW
From August 16 to 20, 2023, TAPS Young Adults will take part in a one-of-a-kind experience in beautiful Lake Placid, New York at Wildwood on the Lake, focusing on Discovering the Possibilities. We will visit the Lake Placid Olympic and Paralympic Training Center and partner with Paralympic Coaches and Athletes as they guide us through activities such as bobsleding, curling, biathlon, skating, "ice house starts" and more. We will meet and be inspired by athletes like U.S. Army Veteran and World Champion Bobsledder Will Castillo. Programming throughout the event will support opportunities for stepping outside one's comfort zone, trying new things and discovering new possibilities. We look forward to having you join us!
This experience will require moderate physical activity throughout.
EVENT FEES
Thanks to the generosity of our sponsors, TAPS is able to provide this event to surviving young adults at no cost.
Flights, lodging, meals, activities and supplies for all attendees will be provided.
