Alexandria, Virginia
Registration Close Date: February 7, 2025

This event is open to military adult and child survivors.

Join your local TAPS family for an afternoon of musical talent by the Marine Chamber Orchestra featuring Mozart's 40th Symphony at the Rachel M. Schlesinger Concert Hall and Arts Center.

The works of Gioachino Rossini and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart were state of the art during their lifetimes. Rossini left his mark on opera by composing nearly forty operas in half as many years, and Mozart influenced nearly every genre of music, redefining the symphony and setting the standard for all who followed. Enjoy the Marine Chamber Orchestra's performance of Rossini's Overture to Semiramide and one of Mozart's most famous works, Symphony No. 40 in G minor, K. 550. The concert will also feature Gunnery Sgt. Kara Santos on Eduardo Angulo's Flute Concerto No. 2, Voces de la Naturaleza, and vocalist Staff Sgt. Hannah Davis on Mozart's "Ach, ich fühl's" from Die Zauberflöte, K. 620.
