Smoky Mountains Multi-Sport Expedition

Share a unique adventure with TAPS survivors as we explore the Smoky Mountains on classic trails, take to the waters and soar above the trees for unforgettable experience of the ancient mountains.

Join us as we find new purpose, gain radical perspective, and remember what it feels like to live with determination.

Who can attend?
TAPS Expeditions are open to all adult survivors over 18 including parents, widows, adult children, siblings, battle buddies, extended family, etc.

What should I expect from this trip?
An amazing adventure awaits in the beautiful Smoky Mountains! We will camp under the stars, hike old-growth forests, zip line above the trees and cap off the trip with a whitewater adventure. Expert guides will lead us and share their rich knowledge of the land’s history. Come join your TAPS family on this unique adventure. How much does it cost?
Thanks to the generosity of our donors and sponsors, TAPS will cover the cost of the trip, including food and lodging once you arrive at the REI host hotel, with the exception of airfare.

Do I need to plan my own transportation and lodging?
You will need to plan and cover the cost of your transportation to and from Tennessee. The closest airport is McGhee Tyson Airport (TYS).
