TAPS is pleased to be able to offer, through the generosity of the Fisher House Foundation's Hero Miles Program, a limited number of airline tickets for survivors attending the National Military Suicide Survivor Seminar and Good Grief Camp.
We want everyone to be with us in Boston and receive the love and support TAPS provides. If you are able to purchase your own tickets, we ask that you do so that families who need donated airfare can receive it.
Flights are donated to TAPS by Hero Miles and have the following eligibility guidelines:
- You are attending the TAPS National Military Suicide Survivor Seminar and Good Grief Camp for the first or second time, or you have not received Hero Miles twice or more.
- You live at least 4 hours away and you are flying to the event from within the United States.
- All survivors in your registration have already received approved time away from work or school commitments needed to attend the TAPS National Military Suicide Survivor Seminar and Good Grief Camp from Friday, November 14 to to Sunday, November 16, 2025.
- You haven't had an unused or canceled Hero Miles ticket in the past (other than due to COVID restrictions and/or illness).
- You must be an immediate family member/relation to the deceased service member. Only the following are considered immediate family: parent, stepparent, legal guardian, spouse, ex-spouse, fiancé, child, adopted child or stepchild who was raised by the service member, sibling or step-sibling.
- You understand that these flights are provided at an expense to Fisher House and once confirmed and granted, they cannot be canceled, changed or returned. If you should still decide to not use a ticketed flight, unless accompanied with a medical letter from your physician, there will be a $150 cancellation or non-use fee per itinerary.
- You understand that flight request forms are REQUESTS; flights are gifted to TAPS to pass on and are therefore not guaranteed.
HOW TO REQUEST DONATED AIRFARE
- Register for the National Military Suicide Survivor Seminar and Good Grief Camp.
- Make a request for airline tickets by August 12, 2025 by checking the application box that is part of your registration. You must complete a separate request (checking the box) for each attendee requesting a ticket, including lap children.
- A separate registration link for Hero Miles will be emailed to you no later than August 19, 2025.
- The separate registration for Hero Miles must be completed by September 15, 2025.
- Notification of flight status/itineraries will be sent to you NO LATER than October 7, 2025.
