Survivors Find Love and Acceptance at Seminars
Author: TAPS
2016 was a busy year as the Seminars team hosted survivors in 11 locations across the country, including Florida, Washington state, New England, Colorado and Louisiana. Connecting with our TAPS family at nine Regional Seminars, as well as at each of our two National Seminars, is an essential part of sharing the journey together. Through workshops, sharing groups, family dinners and more, our survivors left our Seminars with new coping skills and inspiration.
"What a relief that TAPS found me and reached out to me in those early days when I was so overwhelmed. What a relief when I attended my first TAPS Seminar and found love, acceptance and understanding," a surviving mom said about her Seminar experience. "The facilitator shared so much wisdom on the grief journey. What a relief to know I have this wonderful TAPS family."
2017 promises to be equally as powerful as TAPS continues to bring hope, healing and peer connection to our families with an exciting new Regional Seminars format under the heartfelt leadership of our Seminars team. We will continue to heal hearts, bring hope and let our families know they aren't alone, that they are part of an American legacy of service and sacrifice.
We invite you now to make plans to participate in our two flagship national events for 2017: the National Military Survivor Seminar in Washington, D.C., over Memorial Day and the National Suicide Survivor Seminar in Phoenix, Arizona, in early October. We hope to see you at a Seminar in 2017!
