Donating is a great way to get rid of an old or extra vehicle. The process is easy and we provide free and convenient pick-up. Turn your vehicle into a resource that helps our military survivors.

How it Works

Submit the Online Form
Donate your car or truck to support TAPS by simply completing the Vehicle Donation Form below. We accept cars and trucks in running condition. Vehicles must be 2011 or newer with 100,000 miles or less.
Schedule your Free Pick Up
We will share your information with Capital Auto LLC, to make arrangements to pick up your vehicle. At this time, we can not accept vehicles in Hawaii or Alaska.
Maximize Your Tax Benefits
Most vehicle donations qualify for a tax deduction. After your vehicle is picked up, TAPS will provide you with an initial donation receipt. You may claim as a tax deduction the fair market value of your vehicle up to $500 on your donation even if your vehicle sells for less. If your vehicle sells for over $500, we will provide documentation which will allow you to claim the full sale price.

Capital Auto LLC provides logistical services in connection with the donation of vehicles to the Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors. TAPS has entered into an exclusive agreement to partner with Capital Auto LLC to provide all of the transport and logistics services to facilitate vehicle donations to support military families.
